Level I Melanoma in situ, Befall der Epidermis (oberhalb der Basalmembran), keine Invasion

Level II Eindringen in das Stratum papillare (unterhalb der Basalmembran)
Level III den Papillarkörper ausfüllend (bis an die Grenze zwischen Stratum papillare und Stratum reticulare)
Level IV Invasion in das Stratum reticulare
Level V Invasion in die Subcutis
